Pre-Feasibility Studies
Met-Chem works very closely with the Client's team to prepare Pre-feasibility Studies. The Pre-feasibility Study is an intermediate step in the engineering studies required to evaluate a mining or beneficiation project. It is usually based on some engineering basis (quotations for major components obtained from generally one supplier) and the level of accuracy is approximately +/-20% to 25%.
The objective of a Pre-feasibility study is to establish the relevance of investing in the preparation of a Feasibility Study. The following components must be addressed:
- Mineral resources and mineral reserves;
- Mining method and beneficiation process;
- Mining and milling rates;
- Mine planning and mine life;
- Environmental issues and permitting requirements;
- Preliminary market study;
- Capital costs estimate;
- Operating costs estimate;
- Financial and sensitivity analysis;
