Planning and Scheduling
In controlling the successful completion of a project, Planning & Scheduling works hand in hand with cost control. To ensure that this is achieved, Met-Chem uses scheduling program such as Primavera Project Planner to aid in the time analysis process. The work breakdown structure, as developed by the estimating group, is applied to develop the major elements of the schedule.
With input from key project team members, experienced planning and scheduling personnel prepare the project schedule integrating engineering, procurement and construction requirements.
Met-Chem executes the following tasks in establishing and controlling the project schedule:
- establish the work breakdown structure;
- co-ordinate the information with design, procurement, and construction groups;
- develop master schedule;
- develop detailed schedules;
- monitor and analyse of advancement of the project;
- issue reports to management utilising schedule outputs in the form of networks, bar charts and tabular activity listings;
- highlight critical activities and schedule upsets;
- analyse and simulate of possible corrective and remedial actions and preparation of recommendations to project manager;
- Revise of schedules to incorporate actual realisation of activities as required.
