Document Control

Throughout the life of a project, large quantities of documents pass through the hands of the project management team. The correct filing and easy retrieval of these documents are essential for the smooth operation of the project. The function of document control is to:

  • establish a logical and systematic system of filing project documents;
  • ensure timely and accurate retrieval of documents on demand;
  • ensure that latest revision of any document is available to each Met-Chem team member and all other project participants including the client.

Met-Chem uses computers to generate all project documentation. All documents (correspondence, drawings, etc.) are filed according to Met-Chem procedures and all files are backed-up twice daily. A hard copy is also kept in central file for future reference.

Every Met-Chem project also has a correspondence database to store all incoming and outgoing computer correspondence so that the information is available to all users.

At the end of every Met-Chem project, all project documents are archived for future reference.
