Management Team

Subbiah Srinivasan, Eng.
President and General Manager

Mr. Srinivasan serves as President and General Manager since September 2006. His professional career spans over 30 years' experience in all aspects of project development, management and execution of mining, mineral treatment, mineral processing, iron ore, steelmaking and metallurgical projects around the world. He joined Met-Chem in 1976 as a specification engineer and a year later, he was promoted to Chief Engineer-Planning, Scheduling and Specification. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Srinivasan held several leadership positions at Met-Chem, including Vice-President, General Manager and Managing Director, with overall responsibility for sales, management and execution of all Met-Chem projects.

Guy Saucier, Eng.
General Manager, Corporate Development

Mr. Saucier brings more than 25 years of experience in the minerals industry at various positions. In this current position, he is responsible for the company's business development, corporate strategy sales and marketing, and contract negotiations. His technical expertise includes resources evaluation, mine design, and mine planning. He has been involved in several scoping studies and feasibility studies. He has participated in worldwide projects in gold, base metals, iron, coal, bauxite, and industrial minerals.

Yves Cloutier, Eng.
General Manager, Technology and Operation

Mr. Cloutier brings more than 35 years of varied mining industry experience to Met-Chem, ranging from consultant to senior management positions. During his career, he has completed several worldwide engineering projects serving as project sponsor and project manager leading multi-million dollar EPCM and turnkey contracts. He has gained operational experience in mine management and project development in a variety of commodities including Precious Metals, Base metals, Iron Ore and Industrial Minerals. In his current position, he is responsible for management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams, including engineering and design, mining and geology and process engineering. Mr. Cloutier is also ultimately responsible for all projects executed at Met-Chem.

Fernand Proulx
Director, Administration and Human Resources

Mr. Proulx has over 30 years of experience with Met-Chem. His experience extends to the early 1970's when he led the Labour Relation department on both, the Mount-Wright Concentrator and the Port-Cartier pellet plant, projects. Since then, he has held various senior positions within the Sales, Human Resources and Administration departments developing relationships within the engineering industry as well as with clients. In this current position, he is responsible for development and application of corporate policies and Human Resources functions including employee relations and retention, policy development, performance management, training and development. His overall experience in the engineering industry makes him a valuable asset to Met-Chem.

Laura Rochford, CA
Director, Accounting and Finance

Ms. Rochford is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. After working in public accounting for several years where she gained significant experience in accounting and financial systems in various industries, she went on to hold management positions for a number of organizations. With over 20 years of experience, she brings extensive financial and accounting expertise to the company. This, along with her strong business acumen, makes her a valuable addition to Met-Chem's senior management team.

Daniel Gagnon, Eng.
Manager, Mining and Geology

Mr. Gagnon has been recently appointed Manager of the Mining Group where he is responsible for geology, mining engineering and environmental activities. He is a Senior Mining Engineer with over thirteen years of experience in operating mines and project development. His extensive expertise includes a significant number of feasibility studies, mine planning projects, and technical assistance to operations, in a variety of commodities, including gold, iron ore, coal, industrial minerals and bauxite.

Alain Dorval, Eng.
Manager, Process and Metallurgy

Mr. Dorval currently holds the position of Manager, Process and Metallurgy at Met-Chem. He is a Senior Mining Engineer specialised in mineral processing. He has over 24 years of experience in industrial operations, research consulting and process auditing in the mineral processing industry. Prior to joining Met-Chem, Mr. Dorval spent several years at the Centre de recherche minérale, now COREM, where he led a number of mineral beneficiation research projects. Mr. Dorval earned a bachelor's degree in Sciences and Mining Engineering in 1983 from Laval University in Quebec. He is currently a member of the "Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec".

Jacques Racine, Eng.
Manager, Engineering

Mr. Racine has over 30 years of operations, project management and engineering experience associated with mining and metallurgical projects around the world. His key expertise lies in the automation of industrial processes, particularly in the design and process control strategy development, equipment selection, and project start-up and management. In his current position, he is responsible for overseeing and supporting the overall engineering department's functions in which he is involved in numerous assignments as project manager, leading every engineering discipline, including civil, electrical, and mechanical and automation.

David Heddle
Manager, Contracts and Proposals

Mr. Heddle has over 30 years serving the mineral resources industry. His experience at Met-Chem extends to the early 1970's, when he was engaged in the cost engineering department responsible for the development of capital and operating cost estimates for major worldwide projects. He works within the Business Development team, developing relationships with clients from a proposal and contract perspective. His current responsibilities involve overseeing the preparation of proposals and contracts for all company's clients, ensuring that all proposal and contract deadlines are met. Mr Heddle also serves as Manager of the Information Technology department and Staff Services.
